As the head of HR for Umoja Biopharma, Mae-Lee brings a breadth and depth of leadership across talent acquisition, talent development, benefits, compensation, and culture. She believes that people are the number one resource of an organization and strives for a culture of belonging where people can show up as their genuine selves and do their best work.
Mae-Lee built her HR experience across two different industries, most recently in Biotech at Seagen. At Seagen, Mae-Lee was an HR Business Partner during a period of rapid growth and success, including two drug approvals and launches. She was deeply integrated in the business and directly supported leaders of Research, Development, Finance, Legal, and Corporate Operations. In her tenure at Seagen, she also led the Manager Excellence Program, which trained and developed high-potential leaders through a cohort program focused on specific competencies and principles. Mae-Lee’s core philosophy is to always learn from the people and environment she is in so she can effectively influence how the culture supports the business goals and objectives of the organization.
